Projects and Data
The RAPID Facility has collected scientific data from disasters across the globe, creating an open repository of high-quality datasets that researchers worldwide can access and analyze. Our systematic data collection efforts have documented earthquakes, hurricanes, landslides, wildfires, and other extreme events across multiple continents.
All data collected is archived on the DesignSafe cyberinfrastructure platform and made freely available to the global research community. This open access approach allows scientists, engineers, planners and decision-makers to study these unique datasets long after the original deployment, leading to new discoveries and applications.
Example projects below illustrate the use of RAPID resources in the field and highlight collected data
